WC Auto Center is right on Sam Houston Avenue in the old Goodyear service center building. Wayne and I went to school together and then attended the same school for mechanics, Universal Technical Institute in Houston.
I need to start this by saying that Wayne and his shop are not really MINI mechanics, and they will tell you that. In fact, Wayne is the one who recommended Bertini’s in the Woodlands to us. So why is here listed here? Simple, because not everything you need done requires someone with a ton of MINI experiences.
Good examples of work we have done at Wayne’s includes brakes (this includes upgrades to Buster’s rotors, brake lines, pads), alignments, coolant flushes, and other routine maintenance items. Wayne is also the one who removed the second cat and resonator from Buster’s exhaust, replaced his battery, and installed his anti-sway bar.
I have had one real issue with work his shop did over the years, one of his guys broke a cowling plasic piece while installing a new battery. Wayne apologized, didn’t sugar coat it and made it right immediately by replacing the cowling with a brand new MINI part. Everyone makes mistakes, the true test is how they take care of it when they do, and Wayne passes this test in flying colors.
