DESCRIPTION:MOTD started out as a get together to drive the 11-mile stretch of road with 318 curves aka the Dragon. That in itself is more than enough reason to travel to the breathtaking mountains of North Carolina. But on the first weekend of May each year\, it has evolved into much more than that. Just like our beloved MINI’s have evolved into more than just a car to us. So you take the 11-mile stretch of road\, then you toss in the mountains\, country roads\, and waterfalls. Now add 600 to 1000 fellow MINIacs and it takes on a whole new meaning. Wake up each morning and see hundreds of Mini’s each day\, attend dinners and events\, go on group drives\, or just gather and drool over each other’s mods. Get a chance to put a face to a screen name\, see some old friends and make some new ones. \n

H2R is a 1.82 mile\, 11 turn asphalt road course with more than 150 feet of elevation change and a variety of corners including increasing and decreasing corners of both high and lower speeds. The track is located northeast of San Marcos\, TX\, 26 miles from downtown Austin and 55 miles from San Antonio. \nThe Event is a 3 hour MINI performance driving course on Saturday\, Nov. 23 from 2:00pm-5:00pm.\nParticipants will be divided into two groups (novice & intermediate) with classroom orientation\, individual ride-along instruction\, and rotating 20 minutes track time sessions (projected at least one hour of track time).\nThis Event is geared for enthusiasts in MINI street cars.
